Following the DEFY Extreme Desert released in 2021 by Zenith, Zenith releases the polar (pun intended) opposite, the DEFY Extreme Glacier. A 1/100th of a second chronograph that integrates natural stones, a series of watches made for any scenario thrown at it. This watch specifically showcases the frozen barren landscapes as one of the extreme environments the watch that can thrive in (after conquering the extreme barren deserts last year).
To incorporate nature, a natural crystalline semi-translucent gemstone is used, a gemstone called chalcedony. The polished stones exhibit a ‘frozen glacier’ effect. This stone is used on the components which protected the pushers, and the dodecagonal (12-sided shape) bezel. This stone exhibits different colours and structures, essentially making each of the 50 limited editions of the DEFY Extreme Glacier, unique.
The DEFY Extreme Glacier features a singular El Primero 1/100th of a second automatic chronograph calibre, with two beating organs at 50Hz for the chronograph and 5Hz for the timekeeping, the counters are made in a transparent sapphire crystal which adds character to the frosty theme of the watch.
This watch is supplied with two extra straps on top of the titanium bracelet; a black velcro and white rubber strap, which are all interchangeable with a quick release mechanism.
This watch will be a limited edition of 50 pieces, available only at Zenith Physical and Online boutiques.
